Hargrove and OpenRoad Racing Continue in Porsche GT3 Cup

Scott Hargrove and OpenRoad Racing get set to continue their winning formula at Toronto this weekend in the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin.

Hargrove, 19, from Surrey, British Columbia teamed up with OpenRoad Auto Group and OpenRoad Racing on a "let see how this goes" basis at the start of the season. After 4 rounds and now the series leader the relationship between Hargrove and OpenRoad's Christian Chia is on a high.

"Scott has shown great composure and has driven very clean races so far this season. The street circuit in Toronto will be another test for Scott to perform and build on his experience. It is a great circuit and it will be an entertaining race to watch" said Christian Chia, President and CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.

"I was amazed with the performance and driving experience of the Porsche 911 Cup car. I am very thankful to the guys at OpenRoad Racing. They have done a great job helping me adapt by providing a great set up right from the start. I took my time to learn the car and I have been very well supported by the team" Hargrove said. "I can't wait to race in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge race at the Honda Indy Toronto this weekend."

With aspirations to further his career in the sport, Hargrove will be keen to put in a good race in front of the crowd and keen motorsport observers in attendance at the Honda Indy weekend in Toronto.
